Hi. I’m Mike Grabarek. Welcome to Manifesting Intentions LLC. For two decades I have developed a broad skill set in organizational and leadership development.

  • Strengthen the effectiveness of your leadership team – I have considerable experience using a wide variety of leadership assessment tools – and the best one, by far, in my opinion is astrology. Building a strong and effective leadership team requires that each individual within the team have a clear understanding of the powerful energies he/she has to mature with throughout his/her life. Being aware of these energies creates the opportunity to consciously direct these energies for enhanced results. This team-building process has two steps: (1) Individual assessment and conversation with each team member; (2) Facilitated conversation with the team to share learning from the individual assessments. If you are a skeptic of astrology, that’s OK. I simply use astrology to focus discussions in areas which are most consistently fruitful for my clients.

  • Leadership development strategy – It is essential to have an overall strategy for identifying, developing and partnering with your pipeline of future leaders so they gain the experiences and support in their long term growth toward future leadership roles. Here is an example of a strategy I developed and implemented that made sense for a Fortune 200 company. The actual strategy that makes sense for any particular organization is designed to blend with the size, culture and existing structures of the organization.
  • Individual development within your pipeline of future leaders – Development of people involves more than just training programs. In fact, in a study I conducted at a Fortune 200 company, the most important ways to develop people in order of highest importance are:
    • Having been in a variety of positions in different functions, companies, locations, cultures, and industries
    • Team based experiences on high risk – high visibility assignments with leadership exposure
    • Coaching and mentoring by upper managers and senior leaders
    • Leadership assessments with follow ups
    • Learning events at critical transition points in their career

Astrology is a very powerful tool in considering next assignment possibilities for a developing leader. The chart below indicates the types of assignments associated with each of the 12 Zodiac signs. The idea is to place a person in developmental assignments which provide alignment with the person’s innate energy and growth paths based on their birth chart. For example, if a person has the sun, moon, several planets or significant aspects to Aries, then an assignment offering a pathfinder, high stakes, explorer or new territory role would be a good choice if the person does not have previous experience in that type of assignment or could benefit with another assignment like that.

  • Navigate significant change initiatives – We are at a time of unprecedented change. Organizations need a process for navigating significant change which allows the right balance between structure/guidance and the unleashing of ideas/creativity. In the fourth quarter of 2009, I will be unveiling a process which encompasses my 20 years of experience in helping organizations with change along with a variation of a social networking framework to unleash the creativity and ideas from the people in your organization.   • BodyTalk Practitioner – I am a certified BodyTalk practitioner in Santa Fe, NM. This is one of the newer and more effective alternative healing modalities.
